Successful Weekend of Saxophone

Last weekend was a great one for saxophonists! I'm proud of all my students who performed at the High School Solo & Ensemble Competition on Saturday. A special congratulations to Caleb, Kailey, Hailee, and the West Salem Saxophone Ensemble, who are all headed to the OSAA State level competitions on April 27 & 28th!

It was also the weekend of the North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference🎷! It has been a few years since I was able to go, and it was so much fun to reconnect with old friends from all over, and to make new ones. I even got to share my ideas and passion for getting beginners started successfully in my pedagogy lecture, "How to Transform Puffed Cheeks and Enthusiasm into a Novice Saxophonist!" The whole weekend was full of inspiring performances and thought-provoking presentations.🎶 I can't wait for the next one!
